The choice of restaurants in Mazatlan is very diverse. Although seafood is popular because Mazatlan is Mexicoʼs biggest port, there are many other local restaurants that serve every kind of cuisine. The area around the golden zone, along the Malecon, or in hotels are the best areas to go for fine dining. The historic zone is where sidewalk cafes are for casual meals and coffees. There are also numerous local seafood restaurants and stands along the beach for a quick meal.

The golden zone (Zona Dorada) is anywhere north of Punta Zabalo where Fiestaland, Mazatlanʼs most popular attraction is located.
